Oh, the things you will see

I was driving home from Echo Park today and I stopped at a stop light. I looked over at an apartment complex and saw some things.

First, I saw a lady leaning out of her window feeding pigeons. Her window was being flooded with a swarm of pigeons. I don't really think I've seen a pigeon lady before now. It reminded me of Home Alone or Mary Poppins.

Second, I noticed something hanging from the story above the pigeon lady. I didn't see it for long enough but I'm pretty sure it was a sock monkey tied to the top of the window. It was being held there by a noose made out of string. There it was dangling, right above the pigeon lady. I wonder if she knew.
