Let's go fly a kite

This happened at Echo Park

There was a homeless guy at the park looking through trash cans. A couple was going for a walk and looked as if they had just gotten back from the grocery store. They offered him some food, since they had plenty. He said no, politely. The man offered it again. Judging by his body language he was probably reassuring the guy that it was O.K. to accept the food. The homeless guy then turned his back towards the couple and crossed his arms like an angry child. He shook his head no, over and over again until the couple began to walk off. He went right back to looking through the trash can, picked up a paper cup... took a drink and put it back in the trash.
